30×3 T-Driver Blackwall Tire

Our Universal T-Driver is a replica of an original name-brand tread design. Treaded tires were introduced in the teens and would be used on cars manufactured from 1915 through the roaring 20’s.30×3 tires were used on the front of Model T’s with non demountable rims.

Blackwall Tire

Since the introduction of carbon black rocked the tire industry, the original recipe for most tires has been a solid black sidewall. For classics and collector cars alike, it’s hard to beat the no-nonsense appeal of a classic blackwall style tire. Bias Ply Construction

Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900’s through the 1970’s on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Universal T-Driver Tires

Universal T-Driver tires are a great option for Ford Model T and other applications from the Teens and 1920’s. These high pressure tires are available in 30×3 and 30×3-1/2 sizing for proper fitment on Ford’s famous Model T.
